India vs England 3rd Test Live Streaming Score HotStar Star Sports

India vs England 3rd Test Match Preview

The series moves to Mohali. One of our favourite cricket grounds. A track which is considered to be pacer friendly but somehow hasn't supported pacers in last few games, especially in the last test match between India and South Africa. With an uncertainty about the pitch behaviour we enter into the third test match between India and England.
England comes with a strategy to level the series whereas India comes with a proposition to go one more level up in the series. And we could have had no better venue than Mohali for this competition.

England have confirmed two changes. Stuart Broad will make way for Chris Woakes due to a foot injury. Jos Buttler gets in due to Ben Duckett's poor performance. Third change could be in the form of a spinner. It is interesting to see whom would Cook include - Gareth Batty or Zafar Ansari?

Some changes are necessary for the England team. But overall they should ideally be satisfied with some good performance. They had a slight upper hand in the first test match. Second test match was an almost comprehensive win for India. Haseeb Hameed, Cook, Root, Stokes, Moeen Ali and Bairstow have done a good job so far.

Virat Kohli did a splendid job in the second test. He along with some good performance from Ashwin and collectively from other team members took India home. Parthiv Patel replaces Saha as the wicketkeeper. Apart from this, Kohli making any other change in the playing XI seems unlikely.

Stats are in favour of India. India is yet to lose a test match at Mohali. England has lost two matches here. But we all know England has done a great job especially in test cricket. India has to stay on toes for England can bounce back hard. Not to forget, England lost the first test at Ahmedabad in 2012-13 series. And then they bounced back to nail the series.

England has not yet wilted under pressure for sure. At the same time, India has to stay strong and keep the lead up in the series. Let's see how it turns out at Mohali. An exciting match ahead!
