The biggest cricket tournament limited to Asian continent is here! And for a change, this time the format is T20. Yes, the Asia Cup 2016 will be played in a T20 format keeping in mind the ICC T20 World Cup that begins next month in India. Eight teams will participate in the 13th edition of Asia Cup that would be played in Bangladesh. Four teams that are already in for the tournament are Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Rest four (Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and UAE) will play Asia Cup 2016 qualifiers and the winner will play in the actual Asia Cup tournament. So total five teams will battle it out in the tournament that kicks off from 24th February 2016.

Who is the hot star in the ODI cricket series between India and South Africa?

Well, it has to be Virat Kohli from the Indian team and Dale Steyn from the South African team. We aren't judging players as 'hot' based on their looks. By 'hot', we mean cricketers who would have most number of eye balls set on them. The another contender from the South African front has to be AB de Villiers.

Virat Kohli's bat seems to be silent. He is due for a big knock. He didn't have a big score to his name in the T20 series and until the first two ODIs, he looks out of touch. Meanwhile South African AB de Villiers is in sparkling form right from match 1. He has knocked Indian bowlers all over the parks he played so far. MS Dhoni is the coolest customer amongst the two teams. After facing severe criticism, he proved his worth with a brilliant 90+ score at Indore to give India first win in this series. The second coolest candidate has to be Ajinkya Rahane. He didn't get a place in the T20 series. He looks very consistent in the ODI series. Even Hashim Amla does a silent yet great job in batting for the visitors.

Rohit Sharma hammered a ton in the first T20 match. He did the same in the opening ODI match. He looks in golden touch and due for few more big ones. R Ashwin is doing a great job with the ball. Unfortunately he is out of the ODI series due to side strain.

The test series (Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela series) is going to be enthralling. Two strong teams on flat pitches would not only score big but toil hard to earn wickets. It would be great to see how the likes of Ishant Sharma, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Dale Steyn, Morkel, etc would perform.
