Australia takes on the trouble Sri Lankan team here at Perth. Australia is enjoying a good form where they have test series win against India as well as 1st ODI win under their belt in this tri nation series. Sri Lanka has got a slow start to this CB series as they lost their first match to India on this same venue.
Australia looks favourites to win this one against Sri Lanka. Australia would be still wary of their opening department. India bowled the first three Australian batsmen pretty quickly. Thanks to Hussey brothers and Matthew Wade who turned tables on India to score a formidable total.
Australia would feel comfortable with two wins if they manage to beat Srilankans here at WACA, Perth. Their bowling doesn't seem to create any worries and they are capable enough to restrict the opposition to a total lower than their own.
Keeping in mind the true bounce that Perth pitch offers and way Ashwin capitalised on it against Srilanka, we won't surprised if Herath finds place in the playing eleven today. As the pitch offers more assistance to quick bowlers, all eyes would be set on Malinga if he can disturb the furniture of opposition with his unplayable yorkers.
Chandimal was very good against India and rest of them were disappointing. The batting trio Dilshan, Jayawardene and Sangakkara badly need to convert their good starts into long innings. Overall we can say Srilanka would try their level best to win this one and feel a sigh of relief. After all beating Australia would be a double booster in confidence. On the other hand a win here for Australia puts them in an extra comfort zone with two win in the tri series so far.
