India vs West Indies - A must win match for India

India vs West Indies

India faces West Indies in a tough task as India has no other option but to win this match. A win here will increase their chances of reaching the finals and a loss here would make their berth in the finals almost improbable. On the other hand West Indies is in the most comfortable situation amongst the three. They have nine points from their last two matches. A win here will certainly take them to the finals. Indian TV viewers can enjoy today's match live on Ten Cricket and Ten Sports.

Just a couple of weeks ago India lifted the prestigious Champions Trophy where they won seven matches on the trot including two warm up matches. And now we see the same team losing two matches and have a fear of getting eliminated from the Celkon Tri Series in West Indies.

Dhoni was ruled out of the tournament when he faced an injury in the first match. Does he make such a huge difference to the team? This is debatable but let us not shift our focus to something else. Dhoni is certainly the best ever captain India has ever got. And his absence is badly felt. Virat Kohli will take time to gain more experience as and when he leads the side under pressure.

Shikhar Dhawan hasn't proved his mettle in this series. He is due for a big knock which may come today. Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli will all need to score well to post a big total or chase the target well. Bowling wise India looked disastrous in their last match against Srilanka. R Ashwin and R Jadeja need to break the middle order of the opposition to stop them from capitalising on good start if any. Kumar, Sharma and Yadav at the top need to be more affective. They really can't leak so many runs to put pressure on the spinners to do a lot.

West Indies is in a great form and have won both their matches so far. Win against India was a tight one but they comfortably won against Srilanka to score a bonus point as well. Charles and Gayle at the top of the batting order make a lot of difference. Samuels, Smith, Darren Bravo, Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and even Darren Sammy down the order can bat well.

Sunil Narine is a great spinner and he always comes in handy with his bat. A lot relies on how the quickies perform that includes Roach, Best, Sammy and Bravo. Overall this promises to be a tight match where West Indies will strive to win and seal a berth in the finals. On the other hand the world champions India will strive hard to win this do or die face off or else get eliminated from the series.
